Jackie Oesch
Jackie is the founder and president of CrossConnect Ministries, formerly FullValue Ministries. God speaks through His Word revealing His love for humankind and His desire for all to know Jesus as Lord and Savior. Jackie’s passion is to reach those who do not know Jesus and help connect them to Him through Bible study. She has served on staff of the Pastoral Leadership Institute (PLI), travelled internationally ministering to pastors’ wives, written several Bible studies, and currently uses these studies with a neighborhood Bible study she leads. These studies are available as free downloads on the ministry’s website. Jackie’s ministries include serving as pastor’s wife, mother, and grandmother. She lives in Tustin, California.
No two people learn in exactly the same way and that being the case Jackie Oesch has provided a number of ways to learn in this excellent series of studies. Each section includes a teaching, a Scripture reading, an exercise, and a quiet reflection. By the time the student has completed these clear and understandable assignments they will have possessed a working knowledge of a section of the Bible and how it applies to everyday life. Excellent.

How exciting to watch new believers discover for themselves the God Who loves them! Navigating the Bible is a user-friendly study that can be navigated with or without a facilitator. I taught this material and watched a foreign woman with a faith in many gods come to love and believe in the one God Who died for her. She now knows it is Jesus! I have referred many people who are Christian and yet feel shame about being biblically ignorant, to pull out their computers and print off this study.

The arrangement of the study skillfully guides the reader from an introduction to the lesson through a reflective analysis of the teaching(s) of the Biblical section under consideration, ending with an application to life and a moment of personal prayer. In the story of Saul, David, Solomon and the prophet Elijah, God’s mercy is vividly displayed after restitution for failure to obey the Word of the Lord is made. All who humble themselves before the Lord are truly “persons after the heart of God;” as the author passionately points out the importance of a relationship with a God who loves to show mercy in spite of human failures and sin.

Set Free and Standing Tall tells the story of the bent over woman in Luke 13:10-17. In seven brief weekly studies, one comes face to face with Jesus as he reaches out to this woman personally and eternally. Seven words capture this story and apply to lives today in an unforgettable manner – Crippled, Called, Forgiven, Touched, Worshiped, Restricted, and Valued. Through Jesus you have full value in the Father’s eyes so that you can live straight and tall in witness to others. You will be challenged, amazed, and released to live each day with anticipation of opportunities to touch the lives of others with Jesus.
